Last year for Christmas I bought my grandmother, whose been crocheting me mittens for years, some yarn and crochet books. The goal was to get her to teach me to crochet. She taught me the basic stitches, but it wasn't until I graduated that I really had time to take the craft seriously. Now, six months later, I'm hooked. The trouble is, convincing my friends and family that I don't have an "old woman hobby"!
